Background
Blues For Carly (I Want To Meet Boys) was written specifically for Jepsen by Aaron Morris sometime in 2005, who explained he spent months trying to persuade her to sing it. In 2007, Morris stated the song was the band's 'most famous and most frequently requested' song. [1][2] Of all tracks from the Swing Me, Blues Me album, Blues for Carly is the only song to have surfaced online in studio quality. [3]
